Provident Fund

Provides a Lump sum benefit to the member of an approved retirement fund on retirement. The lump sum is the accumulation of the member’s and employer’s retirement contributions plus growth throughout his/her membership of the fund. As an alternative to the Lump Sum, the member may wish to withdraw a portion of the total benefit and purchase a monthly annuity with the balance.

Pension Fund

Is also the accumulation of the member’s and employer’s retirement contributions plus the growth throughout his/her membership of an approved retirement fund. On retirement the member may commute up to one-third of the total value and the balance will be paid as an annuity to the member.
